I am a Principal with Hussey Gay Bell and bring 16 years of full-time civil engineering experience. My work spans civil site design, stormwater, utilities, public infrastructure, construction-phase problem solving, municipal coordination, executive leadership, and technical review of civil engineering disputes.

My current leadership responsibilities encompass the firm’s Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston offices, together with continued growth in North Carolina. I present that professional role as background; the services I offer through this site remain limited to expert witness support and defined independent technical review engagements.

I have worked across commercial and industrial development, municipal infrastructure, water and wastewater systems, stormwater facilities, development planning, construction support, and dispute-related assignments.

The common thread is practical problem solving: understand the evidence, account for field conditions, and explain the issue in terms that attorneys, owners, public officials, contractors, and other decision-makers can use.

Background and Philosophy

Engineering decisions do not occur on paper alone. They are shaped by field conditions, constructability, maintenance, cost, schedule, permitting, and the quality of information available at the time.

I approach each assignment by separating facts from assumptions, defining the limits of the available evidence, and focusing attention on the questions that materially affect the decision or dispute.
